In August of 1964 Martin Luther King visited Berlin. In West Berlin he was also escorted by my Father Werner Steltzer, who was the director of the Berlin Information Center. Here they they are together at the Berlin Wall along the Bernauer Strasse. One year before that in August of 1963 my mother Ulli Steltzer went to the March on Washington and heard MLK speak. I am so happy that my parents had the opportunity to meet and listen to MLK. At the time I was a 15 year old and was not aware of the doings of my parents. Now I am proud of them.
